Noblesse oblige. SEILER gave itself a unique present for its 150th
birthday: the SOLITAIRE anniversary grand, with intarsias and paintings
reflecting the company's own history and tradition of craftmanship.
At the same time this hommage to 150 years of the piano maker's
art is a magnificent example of customized instrument manudfacture
in which every wish concerning the individual choice of veneers,
intarsias and paintings has been fulfilled without restriction.

SEILER's SOLITAIRE
is an unique example of the art of piano making. The filigree inlaid
work in no fewer than 15 precious woods has all the delicacy of
a watercolor painting while the seemingly endless contours of the
cabinet are highlighted by contrasting strips, symbolizing the resonance
and infinite variety of sounds produced by every "genuine SEILER
grand". Without a beginning and without an end, the world of
sound orbits the planet earth, which would be a sad little planet
indeed, were it not for music.
But SEILER's
SOLITAIRE, with its inlaid figure maple, birch, oregon myrtle, American
whitewood and plum - to mention but a few - evinces more then just
the essence and impact of music. When the lid of this 208 cm grand
is raised, it reveals an allegorical oil-on-wood painting, tracing
the history of SEILER.
