The
utilization of past experience for future innovations is a leitmotif
which runs throughout SEILER's history. For SEILER, the highest
possible stand- ard of quality has always been the measure of all
things. This is why today, SEILER is the world's only piano manufacturer
whose models are all produced according to the stringent guidelines
of the "Quality-Seal RAL German Pianos".
Revolution of repetition
This
applies to our grand pianos, model 180 Maestro for the demanding
pianist, model 208 Professional for trendsetting playing and tonal
dynamics and model 242 Konzert, which sets a new standard for concert-hall
interpretations. It also applies to our 116 cm and 122 cm uprights
as well as to the 132 cm concert upright. At the heart of SEILER's
tested quality are the materials used and the sophisticated workmanship
which goes into its pianos.
To these must
be added the use of innovative patents which, especially under Steffen
Seiler, have revolutionized the art of piano-making and have made
SEILER instruments among the best in the world in terms of both
quality and sound.
Oscillation of passion
The
development of SEILER's Mem- brator System marked a significant
improvement in the resonance of the soundboard, thus optimizing
the trans- -parent sound characteristic of all SEILER instruments.
At the same time, SEILER's patented Tonal Volume Stabilizer increases
the tonal volume and amplification of sound by perfecting and preserving
the elasticity and spring of the soundboard. This is why that typical
SEILER sound actually gains in body and character over the years.
Another
milestone on the part of the SEILER team of developers was the Super
Magnet Repetition Action permitting an as yet unsurpassed repetition
speed on SEILER's upright pianos. This development, which is unrivalled
worldwide, replaces the spring-action repetition of the traditional
upright action with two magnets. This permits repetition even in
the lower third of the key travel, thus providing pianists with
a new dimension to their inter- pretations of fast piano music.
Even
innovations such as SEILER's Frenator System for securing the keyboard
lid on grand pianos are aimed at one, overriding goal: It is our
aim to provide professional pianists, students and teachers as well
as music lovers the world over with an instrument which will do
justice to the ever changing and growing demands made of first-class
instruments for decades to come.
